How can we adapt to meet the changes predicted for this century?

Posted on Mar 26th, 2008 by Turiya : Shakta Turiya
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for March 26, 2008:

Well, to begin with I will say that prediction and prophesy seem to be passive ways of looking at the possibilities of the future.  They cohere to our Cartesian sense of being separate observers who somehow have this gift of seeing the future.  "Que sera, sera."  I am becoming more and more of a believer of the the idea of a "participatory universe," as purposed by Wheeler.  The future is conditioned by the past, but it is open to our influence, our intent in the present.  I predict that the in the near future human consciousness will be free of the conditions of the past and free to determine what appears to come next.  Actually, I suspect this has been going on all along.  The future's wide open.  What do we choose?
